Basketball Recap: Gabrielle Henry's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Ocean City over Egg Harbor Township

Ocean City was the 36-31 winner over Egg Harbor Township when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Ocean City Raiders took a 43-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Egg Harbor Township Eagles on Monday.

Several Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gabrielle Henry, who posted nine points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Scarlett Fletcher, who earned seven points and ten rebounds.

Ocean City's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Egg Harbor Township, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ocean City has already played their next match (against Vineland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Egg Harbor Township will challenge Cedar Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
