Volleyball Recap: Boone Central's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak at Home

Boone Central lost to Elgin/Pope John back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Cardinals came out on top against the Wolfpack by a score of 2-0.

The win didn't come easy: Elgin/Pope John scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-18.

Sienna Borer paced Boone Central's offense, picking up nine kills. Borer got some help from Brooklyn Primrose and her seven assists. Addy Hedlund controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Boone Central's victory ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 12-10. As for Elgin/Pope John, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-6 record this season.

Boone Central will host Wayne on Tuesday. As for Elgin/Pope John, they are taking a road trip to challenge Niobrara/Verdigre at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
