Volleyball Recap: Keystone Comes Up Short

Keystone had lost four straight at home, but on Monday they dropped down to 3-12 to make it five. They came up short against New London, falling 3-0. Wildcats fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against New London since Monday.

Keystone's offense was headlined by Makenzie Miller and Kendal Crabeels, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Mia Stefan and her nine assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

As for New London, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. The game was the first time they have beaten Keystone on their court since October 8, 2016.

Among those leading the charge was Ava Ringler, who had ten digs and three aces. She has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last eight times she's played.

Keystone didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Black River on the 23rd. As for New London, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Plymouth on the 23rd.
