Softball Recap: Chardon Takes a Loss

The Chardon Hilltoppers came up short against the Loris Lions on Wednesday and fell 9-5.

Emma Anderson was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tatum Carpenter, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Chardon's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Loris, they now have a winning record of 6-5-1.

Looking ahead, Chardon will face off against Laconia at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Loris, they will challenge Waccamaw at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Loris' pitchers better be ready for this one: Waccamaw has averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season.
