 It was a good run, but  Summit unfortunately witnessed the end of their  nine-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Glenwood Springs Demons by a score of  9-7. Summit was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Glenwood Springs apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in March.
  Sam Eldredge was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he  struck out eight batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned  (and six unearned) runs off   11  hits (and not a single walk). Eldredge was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs while going 3-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Cesar Gomez and  Mason Lukasiewicz did some serious damage despite the final result:  Gomez  scored a  run while going 2-for-4, while  Lukasiewicz  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with a  double and  an  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Hogan Tobias, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 Even though they lost, Summit  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with nine  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Glenwood Springs only tossed five.
 On Glenwood Springs' side,  the team  relied heavily on  Jacob Sims, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-4.  Grady Aguirre was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Summit's defeat  ended  a  nine-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 12-9. As for Glenwood Springs,  the  win  got them back to even at 11-11.
 As of now, neither Summit nor Glenwood Springs have any future games scheduled.
