Basketball Recap: John J. Duggan Academy Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, John J. Duggan Academy couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Westport Wildcats by a score of 72-69 on Tuesday. John J. Duggan Academy has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

John J. Duggan Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Westport, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-7.

John J. Duggan Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Westport, they will welcome Rockport at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Westport knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matches -- so hopefully Rockport likes a good challenge.
