Basketball Recap: Mountain Home Comes Up Short

Mountain Home was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 26th straight loss dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 61-45 to the Caldwell Cougars. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2020.

Mountain Home's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Caldwell, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Mountain Home will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Wood River at 7:30 p.m. on January 9, 2025. As for Caldwell, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Mountain View at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mountain View knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Caldwell likes a good challenge.
