Basketball Game Preview: Meadville Eagles vs. Linn County Mustangs

Meadville is 10-0 against Linn County since December of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Meadville Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Linn County Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. Meadville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.2 points per game this season.

Last Friday, Meadville didn't have too much trouble with Brashear as they won 68-49.

Mason Dennis continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 11 of 22 on his way to 31 points along with six boards and five steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.3 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Donivan Schreckhise, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards.

Meadville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Linn County took a blow against Atlanta on Friday, falling 86-28. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Linn County's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Meadville, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Everything came up roses for Meadville against Linn County in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as the team secured a 71-26 victory. In that game, Meadville amassed a halftime lead of 45-9, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
