Soccer Game Preview: Lunenburg Central vs. Bruton

The Lunenburg Central Chargers are taking a road trip to face off against the Bruton Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Lunenburg Central is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They blew past Southampton 4-1. Winning may never get old, but Lunenburg Central sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

They hit Southampton with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ryan Williams (2), Riley Hawthorne, and Luis Mendoza-Cruz.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Bruton and Arcadia, and Bruton kept the tradition alive. The Panthers' defense stepped up to hand the Firebirds a 3-0 shutout on Thursday. Bruton haven't had any issues with Arcadia recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Lunenburg Central pushed their record up to 11-4-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those three games. As for Bruton, their win bumped their record up to 10-6-1.
