After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Oakdale, East Union was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Patterson Tigers 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Lancers in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won four in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-9, 25-21.

East Union's offense was headlined by MACIE HALL-ANDERSON and LILY GROVE, who picked up five kills apiece. GROVE really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 11. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

East Union's victory bumped their record up to 8-18. As for Patterson, they are on a 29-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-16.

East Union and Patterson could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Lancers (ranked 990th) will meet Manteca (ranked 358th) at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Patterson will take on Mountain House at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (1300 vs. 509).
