Croatan has gone 9-1 against Dixon recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. Both will face off at 8:00 p.m. without much rest having both just played. Croatan knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 contests -- so hopefully Dixon likes a good challenge.

On Tuesday, Croatan ended up a good deal behind Swansboro and lost 75-60. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while the Pirates are ranked 22nd).

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Trey Jones, who went 8 for 20 on his way to 24 points. Kannon McBride was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 12 boards.

Meanwhile, Dixon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss. They were outmatched by West Carteret and fell 76-41. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-17.

Dixon's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Croatan, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-5 record this season.
