Volleyball Recap: Chase County Bulldogs vs. Marion Warriors
Chase County and Marion squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Chase County had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Marion Warriors by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2017.
Chase County actually scored more points across those three sets (71-67), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 16-25, 25-22.
Chase County's defeat dropped their record down to 32-7. As for Marion, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 17-19.
Chase County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Marion, they will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Valley Heights at 2:00 p.m. Valley Heights is coming into the match with four straight victories at home, so Marion will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
