Baseball Game Preview: Copiague Eagles vs. Huntington Blue Devils

For the second straight game, Copiague will face off against Huntington. The Eagles will head out to challenge the Blue Devils at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Copiague is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.

Copiague is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Huntington 13-5 on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Aidan Roman made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Roman was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Adrian Cruz was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Anthony Peralta was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three RBI and one double.

Copiague kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Copiague's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Huntington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
