Baseball Recap: New Washington Takes a Loss

New Washington made up a huge gap compared to their last game against South Central, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Mustangs fell just short of the Rebels by a score of 9-7 on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Rebels: they've now lost nine in a row.

New Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for South Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Washington will venture away from home to challenge Eastern at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Central, they will head out to square off against Rock Creek Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
