Riverside suffers third straight loss at home

Recap: Riverside Pirates vs. Waynesfield-Goshen Tigers

The Riverside Pirates lost against the Waynesfield-Goshen Tigers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Riverside fell 48-40 to Waynesfield-Goshen. Riverside has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Pirates players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Reaghan Mcdaniel, who scored 11 points. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Perk, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and five assists.

Riverside's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 4-7. As for Waynesfield-Goshen, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverside will take on Milton-Union at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Milton-Union is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games. As for Waynesfield-Goshen, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Baltimore at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. North Baltimore is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.
