Softball Preview: West Broward Bobcats vs. Flanagan Falcons
The West Broward Bobcats will take on the Flanagan Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Broward is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
Last Wednesday, West Broward came up short against Western and fell 5-1.
Alivia Artanis made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Jenelle Cruz, who went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Flanagan had no problem doing just that on Monday. They had just enough and edged the Gators out 13-11. The victory was familiar territory for Flanagan who now have three in a row.
Jasmine Gonzalez was incredible, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4. Emily Arias was another key contributor, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
West Broward has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-7 record this season. As for Flanagan, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
