Baseball Game Preview: Paris Greyhounds vs. Bath County Wildcats

The Paris Greyhounds will take on the Bath County Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Paris couldn't beat Harrison County on Monday even though they stacked six runs on them in the fourth inning. The Greyhounds came up short against the Thorobreds/Fillies, falling 16-6.

Paris saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryson Francis, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Francis is becoming a predictor of the Greyhounds' success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 4-1 (and 11-18 when he doesn't). Another was Will Wilson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Bath County's offense. They lost 12-0 to Morgan County on Monday. The Wildcats' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Bath County's loss dropped their record down to 17-16. As for Paris, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-19.

Bath County's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Paris hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .327. It's a different story for Bath County, though, as they've only averaged .254. Will they be able to contain Paris' hitters?
