Football Recap: Robbinsville Takes a Loss

Robbinsville lost against Mountain Heritage back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Black Knights were outmatched by the Cougars and fell 50-19. The Black Knights were down 42-13 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Despite the loss, Robbinsville still got an impressive performance from Cameron Allison, who picked up 139 receiving yards and one score.

Cason Jones was a one-man wrecking crew For Mountain Heritage. as he rushed for 110 yards and one touchdown on only six carries, and also caught one TD. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 78 yards. Ervine Rodriguez was in the mix too, providing Mountain Heritage with two scores.

Robbinsville now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Mountain Heritage, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Robbinsville didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 35-6 victory against Mitchell on the 12th. As for Mountain Heritage, they have also already played their next contest, a 16-14 defeat against Swain County on the 12th.
