Softball Game Preview: Center Point Pirates vs. Mason Punchers

For the second straight game, Center Point will face off against Mason. Center Point will challenge Mason at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Center Point headed into their last matchup having not scored more than two runs for five straight, but Mason let them put that streak behind them. Center Point blew past Mason 18-7 on Friday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Pirates as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Center Point got a massive performance out of Hannah Batcheller, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Maria Diaz was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Mason has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. Center Point's win bumped their record up to 5-10.
