Softball Recap: St. Bernard Takes a Loss

St. Bernard's last matchup with Ledyard could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Tuesday. The Saints lost 18-1 to the Colonels. The defeat continues a trend for the Saints in their meetings with the Colonels: they've now lost three in a row.

St. Bernard saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Scribner, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

St. Bernard's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Ledyard, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Bernard will welcome Woodstock Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ledyard, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against East Lyme at 4:00 p.m.
