Basketball Recap: Virtus Academy Comes Up Short

The Virtus Academy Wolves lost 53-28 to the C.A. Johnson Hornets on Tuesday.

Despite the defeat, Virtus Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Trinity Fredrick posted 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nia Cribb, who had eight points.

Virtus Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for C.A. Johnson, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Virtus Academy will challenge Hannah-Pamplico at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for C.A. Johnson, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lee Central at 6:30 p.m. on the 5th.
