Volleyball Recap: Lynchburg-Clay Beats Blanchester for Their Third Straight Victory

Lynchburg-Clay waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Blanchester Wildcats. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Lynchburg-Clay not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Blanchester between 14 and 16 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-14, 25-15.

Kylie O'Connor paced Lynchburg-Clay's offense, picking up 11 kills. O'Connor got some help from Ava Mclaughlin and her 15 assists. Halle Greene controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.

Lynchburg-Clay's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Blanchester, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-16.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Lynchburg-Clay will venture away from home to square off against Whiteoak at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Blanchester, they will head out to challenge Georgetown at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
