Volleyball Recap: Hazleton Area Takes a Loss

After flying high against Tunkhannock on Thursday, Hazleton Area came back down to earth. The Cougars fell 3-1 to Marian Catholic on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-17, 18-25, 25-14.

Hazleton Area now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Marian Catholic, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Hazleton Area didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Abington Heights on the 20th. As for Marian Catholic, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Weatherly on the 16th.
