Baseball Recap: North Delta Gets the Win

North Delta posted their closest victory since May 8, 2025 on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Kirk Academy Raiders. The victory continues a trend for the Green Wave in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now won five in a row.

Jett Manning spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Will Carpenter was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Khi Little, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

North Delta's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Kirk Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

North Delta will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Raiders: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
