Softball Recap: Santa Fe Demons vs. Valencia Jaguars

There's no place like home for Santa Fe, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top against the Valencia Jaguars by a score of 10-5 on Monday.

Leah Gutierrez was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Gutierrez was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

In other pitching news, Santa Fe got a great performance from Jessi Lopez as she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts Lopez has posted since back in March of 2024.
