Recap: Bell Griffins vs. Jackson-Reed Tigers

After flying high against Eastern last Thursday, Bell came back down to earth. The Bell Griffins suffered a rough 18-2 loss at the hands of the Jackson-Reed Tigers on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Bell of the 17-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.

For Jackson-Reed's part, Alice Stillerman and Sienna Gala made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Stillerman tossed an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits (she also only allowed one walk). Meanwhile, Gala struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances.
