Springfield put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart Mustangs get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by exactly ten runs.

Madden Lendt made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Lendt was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Lendt is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

In other batting news, Brecken Heiling and Aiden Moriarty did most of the damage at the plate: Heiling went 1-for-3 with five stolen bases and three runs, while Moriarty went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those three runs gave Heiling a new career-high. Adiel Trevino was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Springfield's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Springfield will challenge rival Wabasso at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Tigers 1.5, the Rabbits 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart is set to face off against their familiar foe Sleepy Eye at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
