Softball Recap: Navarro Panthers vs. Hallettsville Brahmas
Navarro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 15-4 to the Hallettsville Brahmas. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Brahmas from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.
Shelbi Stevens made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Falor, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
Navarro's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Hallettsville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
Navarro will square off against East Bernard at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hallettsville, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-3 win against Sealy on the 27th.
