Basketball Game Preview: King's Academy Lions vs. Lake Worth Christian Defenders

The King's Academy Lions will face off against the Lake Worth Christian Defenders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. King's Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.8 points per game this season.

Last Thursday, King's Academy earned a 56-45 win over Palm Beach Lakes. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

King's Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Javian Jones led the charge by putting up 24 points and eight rebounds. Jones' evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Isaiah McCoy was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 20 boards.

Meanwhile, Lake Worth Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a hard 69-53 fall against St. John Paul II Academy.

Lake Worth Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for King's Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 10-5.

King's Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Lake Worth Christian in their previous matchup back in December of 2018, winning 53-40. Will King's Academy repeat their success, or does Lake Worth Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
