League recap: MacArthur receives boost in rankings after winning week

MacArthur used a 1-1 record over the past week to move from 429 to 403 in the Illinois state rankings.

Urbana is mired in the league's worst slump. The Tigers lost 10-0 to Danville last week.
The Generals' pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing five hits and four walks to lead the league in both categories. On the season, MacArthur has allowed just 243 hits, while striking out 124 batters.
Gavin Kitson leads MacArthur with 34 strikeouts in 19 innings pitched.
