Softball Recap: Jefferson Bulldogs vs. Longview Lobos
After flying high against New Boston last Saturday, Jefferson came back down to earth. The Jefferson Bulldogs fell 10-7 to the Longview Lobos on Thursday. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lobos apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.
Chloe Wood and Maddie Clark did some serious damage despite the final result: Wood scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2, while Clark scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Rayleigh Gulk was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2.

Even though they lost, Jefferson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .737. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.
Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Longview, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.
