Volleyball Game Preview: Southridge Spartans vs. Killian Cougars

The Southridge Spartans will head out on the road to challenge the Killian Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 11 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Southridge and 18 for Killian dating back to last season.

Southridge lost 3-0 to North Miami on Tuesday.

While Southridge was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into North Miami's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-19, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Killian came up short against Homestead on Thursday, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-18, 25-17.

Southridge's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Killian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything went Southridge's way against Killian when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Southridge made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Southridge since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
