Softball Game Preview: California School for the Deaf-Riverside Cubs vs. United Christian Academy Eagles

California School for the Deaf-Riverside is 0-10 against United Christian Academy since April of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The Cubs are taking a road trip to square off against the Eagles at 3:15 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

California School for the Deaf-Riverside is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Monday. They lost 22-12 to California Lutheran.

Juliana Diaz made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, two triples, and two RBI. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. Another player making a difference was Jessika Alonso, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, United Christian Academy came up short against San Jacinto Valley Academy back in March, falling 12-3. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

United Christian Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lariah Avila, who scored a run while going 1-for-4. Liliana Perez also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

California School for the Deaf-Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for United Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

California School for the Deaf-Riverside's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's contest. The Cubs have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.4 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for United Christian Academy, though, as they've been averaging only 0.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will California School for the Deaf-Riverside continue to outrun the ball?
