Basketball Recap: Rice Lake Extends Road Winning Streak to Six

Rice Lake extended their road winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Adaline Sheplee. The Rice Lake Warriors walked away with a 72-61 victory over the Menomonie Mustangs on Tuesday thanks in part to Sheplee, who went 13 for 24 en route to 37 points along with eight boards and six steals. Her evening made it eight games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Schmidt, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last 13 games she's played.

Rice Lake's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Menomonie, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-9.

Rice Lake and Menomonie should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings. Rice Lake (ranked 29th) will meet Eau Claire North (ranked 160th) at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Rice Lake is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.2 points per game this season. Meanwhile, Menomonie will square off against Somerset at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday up 128 places (92 vs. 220).
