On Friday, the Ballou Knights faced the Jackson-Reed Tigers in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Ballou came out on top against Jackson-Reed by a score of 14-7. The win was some much needed relief for Ballou as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Kelvin Hewitt looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 40 yards and a touchdown, while also throwing for 130 yards and a touchdown.

Ballou's victory bumped their record up to 5-5. As for Jackson-Reed, they have yet to win a match on the road this season, leaving them with a 1-9 record.

Ballou will face off against Woodson at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Woodson will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Jackson-Reed does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
