Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lee's Summit). They came out on top against the Washington Wildcats by a score of 78-70 on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Wildcats last Wednesday, they had to take a 65-50 loss.

When it comes to explaining why Washington lost, don't look at Elliott Berry Jr.. Despite the final result, he went 6 of 7 from beyond the arc on his way to 27 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamari Williams, who went 7 for 10 en route to 17 points.

Lee's Summit is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Lee's Summit Tigers challenge the Raymore-Peculiar Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Washington, they will face off against Schlagle at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Washington knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matchups -- so hopefully Schlagle likes a good challenge.
