Baseball Recap: Gardner Comes Up Short

Gardner's last matchup with West Boylston could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Monday. The Wildcats came up short against the Lions, falling 9-1. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost six in a row.

Gardner's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for West Boylston, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Gardner will face off against rival Murdock at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, West Boylston is set to square off against their familiar foe Quabbin Regional at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
