Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sam Rayburn). They blew past the South Houston Trojans 57-8 on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Texans needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Sam Rayburn's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for South Houston, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coincidentally, Sam Rayburn and South Houston will both be playing Alvin the next time they take the field. The Trojans will host the Yellowjackets at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Texans will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
