Softball Recap: North Pike Takes a Loss

North Pike and East Central squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but North Pike had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 1-0. The shutout was out of character for the Jaguars seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in February.

North Pike's loss dropped their record down to 8-18. As for East Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 20 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-5 record this season.

While North Pike had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
