Volleyball Recap: Fideles Christian Makes It Eight in a Row at Home + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Fideles Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cherokee Christian Warriors on Thursday. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Rangers this season.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Fideles Christian took every set by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-5, 25-8.

Kathryn Yastro paced Fideles Christian's offense, picking up 13 kills. Yastro got some help from Emerson Mullenix and her 13 assists. Yastro also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Julianna Simpson, racking up six apiece.

Fideles Christian pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Cherokee Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Fideles Christian will hit the road for the first time this season to take on St. John Bosco Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cherokee Christian, they will square off against Cornerstone Prep Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
