Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Taylor Schmidt and Korynn Potter Lead Belleville to Victory

Belleville posted their closest victory since September 13th on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Darlington Redbirds 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Redbirds on Saturday, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

Leading Belleville to victory were Korynn Potter and Taylor Schmidt. Potter had 19 digs and two aces, while Schmidt had 11 digs and four aces. Those 11 digs gave Schmidt a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Belleville was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Darlington only served five aces.

Belleville's record is now 13-7. As for Darlington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-10.

Coming up, Belleville will square off against Marshall at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Darlington, they are taking a road trip to take on Southwestern at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
