Basketball Recap: Greenbrier Takes a Loss

Greenbrier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 74-52 to the White House Blue Devils. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bobcats of the 61-59 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

White House was led to victory by Dawson Carson and Louis Taylor. Carson went 5 for 7 on his way to 10 points in addition to seven boards and five blocks, while Taylor went 8 of 10 en route to 16 points. Those five blocks gave Carson a new career-high. Romeo Cantrell was another key player, putting up three points along with eight assists, six rebounds, and five steals.

Greenbrier's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for White House, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-11.

Greenbrier didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-43 loss against White House-Heritage on the 21st. White House has also already played their next match, a 68-51 defeat against Station Camp on the 21st.
