Statesville extended their home winning streak to four games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Manuel (MJ) Gladden. The Greyhounds escaped with a win on Monday against the North Rowan Cavaliers by the margin of a single free throw, 71-70 with plenty of help from Gladden, who almost dropped a double-double with 29 points and nine steals. He has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last three times he's played.
North Rowan lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Carter Williams, who dropped a double-double with 25 points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Massenburg, who posted 16 points and five assists.
