Baseball Recap: Kinston Comes Up Short

Kinston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 27th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the James Kenan Tigers, falling 11-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-7 last Thursday.

Kinston saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Seth Wilson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Kinston's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for James Kenan, their record now sits at 4-6.

Looking ahead, Kinston will take on North Lenoir at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hawks will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight. As for James Kenan, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 12-8 defeat against Southwest Onslow on the 9th.
