Basketball Recap: Mcqueen Beats Reed for Their Fifth Straight Victory

McQueen extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Abram Carpenter. The McQueen Lancers walked away with a 58-50 win over the Reed Raiders on Thursday thanks in part to Carpenter, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Aj Spevak, who posted ten points and six rebounds. Spevak is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

When it comes to explaining why Reed lost, don't look at Josh Peterson. Despite the final result, he had 13 points. Marcus Brown was another key player, putting up eight points.

McQueen's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Reed, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

McQueen wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 66-50 loss against Galena on the 20th. As for Reed, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 77-50 defeat against Damonte Ranch on the 20th.
