Softball Recap: Logan Beats Sky View for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Logan hadn't done well against Sky View recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Grizzlies put the hurt on the Bobcats with a sharp 11-0 victory. Considering the Grizzlies have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Norah Zundel looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Miley Allen, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since April 1st. Another player making a difference was Cadence Boyer, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs.

Logan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They are 9-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The win (which was Logan's fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Sky View, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 16 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.

Logan didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-5 win against Northridge on the 26th. As for Sky View, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 10-4 victory against Stansbury on the 26th.
