Basketball Recap: Eagle Falls Short Against Ranked Owyhee

On Thursday, Eagle faced Owyhee in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Eagle Mustangs lost 63-43 to the Owyhee Storm. The Mustangs have struggled against the Storm recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Owyhee's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Adelynn Wright, who went 7 of 13 on her way to 17 points and five steals. The dominant performance gave Wright a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Beck, who went 7 of 11 on her way to 14 points and five rebounds.

Eagle's defeat dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Owyhee, they pushed their record up to 13-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
