Basketball Recap: Tenafly Comes Up Short

If Tenafly was riding high fresh off their 65-22 takedown of Dwight Morrow last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tenafly Tigers took a hard 56-40 fall against the Ridgewood Maroons on Friday. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Maroons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

Having lost for the first time this season, Tenafly fell to 2-1. As for Ridgewood, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Tenafly will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on NV - Old Tappan at 4:15 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Ridgewood, they will face off against Immaculate Heart Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
