Volleyball Recap: Savannah Comes Up Short

Savannah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Savannah Christian Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bluejackets of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-3.

Savannah Christian found their leader in sophomore Carinne Cason, who had 15 assists and three aces. Cason is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Savannah's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Savannah Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season.

Savannah will face off against Jenkins at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Savannah Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against McIntosh County Academy on the 24th.
