 It was a good run, but  Picayune unfortunately witnessed the end of their  seven-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the George County Rebels by a score of  2-1. Picayune was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as George County apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  last Tuesday.
  Tanner Busby was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  struck out nine batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in five consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  Parker Helton and  Justin Stockstill stepped up to the plate in a big way.  Helton  went 3-for-4 with a  stolen base and  an  RBI, while  Stockstill  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-2.
 Even though they lost, Picayune  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with ten  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as George County only tossed six.
 On George County's side, they got a great performance from  Preston McAdory as he  pitched six innings while giving up just one earned run off   seven  hits (he also only allowed one  walk).
 On the hitting side, George County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Gage Reeves, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Picayune's defeat  ended  a  four-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 14-7. As for George County, their victory was  their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 15-3.
 While Picayune had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
